Common questions
Do I need a ProteinMate account?
No. ProteinMate does not use a Pandaware account. Your nutrition history is managed through Apple Health, and app settings stay in Apple’s device and private iCloud systems used by the app.
Where is my nutrition history?
HealthKit is the source of truth for calories, protein, entries, and intake times. You can review or change ProteinMate’s Health permissions in Apple’s Health app. If Health access is unavailable, ProteinMate does not create a separate replacement nutrition-history database.
Why are my totals or history not updating?
Open ProteinMate and check that the relevant Apple Health permissions are still enabled. If you use an Apple Watch or a widget, open the iPhone app once and then try the Watch or widget again. If the issue continues, email support with the app and system versions and the steps you tried.
How do I change or remove a nutrition entry?
Nutrition records are Apple Health records. Use Apple’s Health app to review or remove them. ProteinMate can manage the entries it created when the required Health permissions are available.
Does ProteinMate send my nutrition data to Pandaware?
During normal use, ProteinMate does not upload your nutrition history, Apple Health data, settings, templates, Watch state, or diagnostics to Pandaware-operated servers. See the Privacy Policy for the complete data description, including support email and user-initiated sharing.
